 Q: When do you visit Austria?
 A: Att he moment I can not give you any dates because we do not know it either. All I can say is that we will visit you soon

 Q: H.P., what do you listen for music when you want to relax?
 A: I am listening to chill out compilations and during winter time I am often listening to Enya or some Irish Folksmusic. All in all I am listening to music with a relaxing atmosphere when I want to relax.

 Q: What do you do backstage, shortly before the concert starts?
 A: H.P.: We have about 1 - 1,5hrs time for us before a concert and during this time we are in our backstage room. Nobody is allowed to visit us, no interviews and no photos. That room is for us only. We are listening to music and drinking 1 or 2 drinks to get into the mood we need to have to make a concert
Michael: H.P. is forcing us to listen to his music and he is turning the volume to 100%. Nobody is allowed to leave the room (laughing)

 Q: What do you think about your roll as the english embassador?
 A: Well, as you know I am a big fan of england and getting the number one position in england is an honor for me. We are destroying the bad image the english peoples have about germany. but nowadays the image is not that bad anymore as it has been many years ago. There is almost no enemyship anymore as it was decades ago.

 Q: What about the hand on Scooter project?
 A: We are still working on it and we will finish it in September. Also in September we will release a special Singe dedicated to the hand on Scooter project

 Q: Where to get you chain from?
 A: Well, you can buy it in Hamburg in a shop called "Pirate Style" in the Galeria Passage Street. You can also buy some good clothes there. But it is quit expensive.

 Q: When did you start to style your white hair?
 A: When I was a child I got already kind of white hair (nature hair) and the older I got the darker they went and so I had to make something against the hair darkening and startet to bleach my hair

 Q: What is your opinion about the very successfull german band Tokio Hotel?
 A: They are great guys. From the first beginning I did no that these guys are fine and I happy for them about their success in other countries.
Michael: I spent my school time with one of the producers of Tokio Hotel

Ответ Эйч-Пи: «До начала у нас обычно час-полтора и мы сидим в отведённой для нас комнате, куда никого не пускают. Никаких интервью, никаких фотосъёмок. Там мы слушаем музыку и пропускаем пару стаканчиков, чтобы правильно настроиться на наше выступление».
Ответ Михаэля: «Эйч-Пи заставляет нас слушать ту музыку, которую ставит он, причём он включает громкость на полную. И всем запрещено выходить из комнаты». (Смеётся.)

Вопрос: «Как ты относишься к роли "английского посланника"?» [Прим. пер.: что имелось в виду — сам не знаю]
Ответ: «Как вы знаете, я обожаю Англию, и добраться до первой строчки там — для меня большая честь. Этим мы разрушаем плохие стереотипы англичан о Германии. Сегодня эти стереотипы, однако, не так сильны, как много лет назад».

Вопрос: «Как обстоят дела с проектом "Hands on Scooter"»?
Ответ: «Работа над проектом идёт, и мы закончим её в сентябре. В этом же месяце выйдет сингл, посвящённый проекту».

Вопрос: «Где ты купил такую цепочку?»
Ответ: «М-м... Купить можно в Гамбурге, в магазине под названием "Пиратский стиль", находящемся у Галерия-Пассаже. Там также можно купить одежду, но она слишком дорогая.

Вопрос: «Когда ты начал крсить волосы?»
Ответ: «В детском возрасте у меня были светлые волосы. Но чем старше я становился, тем более тёмный оттенок они приобретали. С этим надо было что-то делать, поэтому пришлось их осветлять».

Вопрос: «Как ты относишься к очень успешной немецкой группе "Токио хотел"»?
Ответ Эйч-Пи: «Замечательные ребята. Я очень рад их успехам».
Ответ Михаэля: «Я ходил в школу с одним из продюсеров этой группы».

 "The Question Is What Is The Question" was one of the cornerstones for the success of Jumpstyle. From the very beginning Scooter relied on the help of the Sheffield Jumpers. In the four single videos of the album "Jumping All Over The World" as well as live on stage the guys from the Netherlands showed their phenomenal dance skills and amazed the crowd.
 Consequentially the Sheffield Jumpers will release their first single "Jump With Me" on the Scooter label Sheffield Tunes. The track definitely has the power to pep up the Jumpstyle movement.  Imre -SP-: Finally, last Saturday I managed to meet Axel with the Hungarian Posse He played a DJ-set in Flört Club, where Scooter did a great show back in 2003.
 I managed to speak a few words with him about his past, present and future, so I guess this is gonna be interesting for you here
 You may not think that Axel really reads the forum from time to time, but he does. OK, so here's what I learned:

- Axel was very happy that so many Scooterfans showed up. At first I thought he's getting tired about contantly "harassed" by his past, but when I asked, he smiled and said it's very lovely that we still remember - or even better, miss - him.

- He says he doesn't play Scooter in his DJ-sets nowadays, and he doesn't really bother about the new Scooter releases either. He can't even name a track from the new album, "cause Scooter release a new single almost every 2 month", and people call each track by it's abbreviated name, so he just can't keep up-to-date
Of course this doesn't mean that he don't keep in touch with the band members. Especially Ferris and Jay are two very close friends of him.

- Their new project, 3 Global Players was kind of an unrealistic decision. He speaks with Ferris every week via the phone, but they didn't have a common project since 2003. So Ferris said "come on, let's make a track together" - et voilá! In a week, the track was ready

- Connected to the last one, Axel states that he doesn't take music production seriously (neither does Ferris). He says that they both make it for fun, and never for the money or success. He's happy about his success as is, and he said that it's demeaning for him when he reads on our forum that people like a Scooter track just 'cause "it sounds more serious than Axel's or anyone others".

- Axel is likely to go nuts for new and interesting styles. When something new comes in, he jumps on his equipment and starts producing. That's why he enjoys making music in jumpstyle, house, hands-up, etc. altogether.

- The rumour that Rick & Axel were totally drunk when they made Bramfeld is not ture Indeed, they never had a drink when they were in studio.

- In the 3rd chapter, Jay made every clubmix and b-side for the singles. When Axel was in the band, all tracks were made by them together, even H.P. did jobs in the production part.

- Axel loves I'm Your Pusher He says that later on Rick and H.P. probably found something that they would change in the track, and that's why they like to scarify it in public.

- His favourite drink is Jägermeißter (good choice if you ask me )

 I guess that's all, hope you're happy that we got another bunch of interesting facts.
 I must to say, that Axel is a very friendly guy, he never looked like he's had enough, and he even made photos of us with his cellphone I was so damn happy to meet him, now only Ferris is missing from the list		 Translated by Scooter Planet:

- Он сказал, что в последнее время не включает треки Скутер в свои диджейские сеты, и новые скутерские релизы тоже его не особенно волнуют. Он даже не смог назвать ни одного трека из нового альбома, "потому что Scooter выпускает по новому синглу считай каждые 2 месяца", а люди называют треки сокращённо (используют аббревиатуры), поэтому он просто не может оставаться в курсе всего. Конечно же, это не означает, что он не общается с членами группы. Феррис и Джей - его очень близкие друзья.

- Новый проект Ферриса и Акселя 3 Global Players стал результатом в какой то степени нереалистичного решения. Аксель и Феррис каждую неделю общаются по телефону, но они не работали над общим проектом с 2003 года. Однажды Феррис сказал: "Эй, давай наконец сделаем совместный трек" - и вуаля! Через неделю сингл был готов.

- Аксель заявляет, что не относится к музыкальному продюссированию как к чему-то серьёзному (Феррис, впрочем, тоже). Он говорит, что они оба занимаются этим для развлечения, а вовсе не из -за денег и не ради славы. Он очень рад своему успеху и ему унизительно читать на официальном форуме Scooter, что людям понравился скутерский трек, потому что "он звучит куда серьёзнее, чем трек Акселя или кого-либо ещё".

- Аксель часто сходит с ума по новым и интересным стилям. Как только появляется что-то новое, он запрыгивает за своё ди-джейское оборудование и начинает продюсировать. Вот почему ему нравится делать музыку в разных стилях (jumpstyle, house, hands up и др.). Всё это вместе.

- Слухи о том, что Рик и Аксель были в стельку пьяны, когда записывали Bramfeld - неправда. На самом деле, будучи в студии, они никогда и капли в рот не брали.

- В третьей главе Джей делал все клаб-миксы и би-сайды синглов. Когда Аксель был частью группы все треки они записывали вместе (всей группой), и в продюссировании композиций участвовал даже H.P..

- Аксель обожает I'm Your Pusher. Он говорит, что позже Рик и Эйч Пи нашли в треке что-то, что можно изменить, вот почему им так нравится использовать его "прощупывая" почву во время выступлений на публике.

- Любимый напиток Акселя - Jagermeister.

 Scooter often played concerts in extraordinary locations - and this summer will add a new highlight!  Mod.: How did you make it into the music business, did you already learn to use music instruments when you was young?
 Michael: At the beginning I worked as a DJ and as a DJ you are only playing music from other artist for the peoples and after a time you want to show your selfmade music to the public and not only music produced by others and so I started to work more and more in a music studio to produce my own music.
 Rick: I startet rather early. With an age of 5 years I startet to learn how to work on a piano, when I was ten I created my own small band and with an age of 15 years I was already part of local known bands and finnaly when I was 18 I meat H.P. This was in 1986 and since this time we started to work together in music, we started to produce music with a lot of people and this went up into the creation of our first band called Celebrate The Nun, a Rave Project. celebrate The Nun had limited success only. We had one ore two successes in foreign countries but in germany Celebrate The Nun was almost unknown and not successfull. The time with Celebrate The Nun was kind of our learning process. After a while we got our first music studio. Once we produced a track that was used in an argentinian daily soap as the title opening and due to this we recived a lot of new contracts for producing music for others. The money that came with this contracts was use to buy our first music studio.

 Mod.: In 1993 you had your break-trough when releasing Hyper Hyper. With this song you polarised in a big way. The Lyric "Hyper Hyper" was taken from Ultra Sonic's "a##l Rythm".
 Rick: The Lyric "Hyper Hyper" was taken from Ultra Sonic this true. It was not planned to make Hyper Hyper a commercial Song. If Hyper Hyper has been planned to be a commercial song we would have taken a blond haired woman and a black man as a singer because this was the recipe for commercial music and success in the beginning of the 90's in europe.
Hyper Hyper did not fit into the commercial music business back in 1993. You have to imagin that this was a song that stopped twice in the middle, accompanied with the screamed words "Hyper Hyper". Music Business Companies would have said "what the f##k is this?" when presenting the song to them. But we wanted to produce this song because we wanted to. it was kinf of an impulse produce this song.

 Mod: So it was not planned to make this song for the Euro Dance Music?
 Rick: Well "Hyper Hyper" is everything but it is not Euro Dance. Saying "Hyper Hyper" is Euro Dance is the same like saying Blues Rock is Heavy Metal. Euro Dance got its own recipe: You take a rapped strophe and a singed refrain. The Artist Mr. President or Erotic is the best example for Euro Dance.
We have been inspired by the Rave Scene of Hanover. Many english DJ came to Hanover together with their own MC. MC's are still usal in england nowadays, esspecially in the Jungle- and Break Scene.
Inspired by the MC's in Hanover, back in the early 90's, we produced Hyper Hyper.

 Mod: In Hyper hyper you are saying hello to a lot of well known DJ's. Did you ever get a feedback from some of the DJ's you did put into Hyper Hyper?
 Rick: Well we had both kinds of feedbacks. Their has been DJ who said that it is great to announce their names in the Sonh hyper Hyper because this makes them more known in the music scene but their has been also DJ who where not very happy about announcing their names. A very good example is Marc Spoon who was not very amused about his announcement in Hyper Hyper. You have to rememeber, back in this time H.P. and I have been little ravers. We do not planned to wotk in the foreground of the music businnes. It was planned to work in the background, producing music for others. Hyper Hyper was not planned it kind of a gag and I remember to a sunday back in 1993 when we did sit in the studio and made brainstorming because we needed something special for the song Hyper Hyper which was already produced. And at this time their was a music show called "The Steven Mason Show" and in that Show Steven Mason greated the european raver posses "Big shouts to the Berlin posse ... Big shouts to the Hanover posses" and kind of this and we thought that it would be cool to make the opposite and let the ravers great the DJ's instead of the DJ greating the posses.
 It is great to polarising peoples with our music but when Hyper Hyper was released it was a strange feeling to get all the bad critics. At this time we thought "...he, we are only small peoples who produced a hit that became a huge success, we did not make bad things and now we are commercial music idiots due to this...?" but nowadays we got a huge fan base and this makes us proud.

 Mod.: How do you create a Scooter song, do you start with the music and then the lyrics? What is the recipe?
 Rick: Normally the music itself is the first we creat and then we create Lyrics and Hooks for the already created music. mostly you already got a scenario in your heat about a song as H.P. has a lot of times. Move your ass was such a kind of a scenario. H.P. came to me and said, ...Rick I got an awesome Lyric. I scream Move your ass! and then we put a screaming crowed into it and than base drums .....
H.P. is the man who mostlöy gives us the ideas for a new song, he is the crazy creativ man who is kind of responsible for the song creation.

 Mod.: Your output of music is awesome. Once you released two albums within one year. how do you make this? Are their already half produced songs in your drawer? Either you produce a track very fast or you got already half produced tracks in your drawer otherwise such an output is almost impossible?!
 Rick: We got only a small amount of already created songs in our "drawer". For example Neverending Story. The HPV Refrain of Neverending story was already recorded some years ago by us but we did not know a good idea what to do with it. This was the only stuff left in our "drawer". So almost all songs are new songs and this is good. We produce songs fast because in the dance music businnes trend are comming fast and disappear fast and due to this it is not possible to produce an album within 3 years as f.e. Rock Bands do. We want to put the newest trends into our music and when we would produce an Album for 3 years the trends we put in it would have been already gone and the album is not up-to-date anymore. And thats why our output is so big. We want to be as close as possible to the trends.

 Mod: Before this interview we already interviewed your support act and we started asking about Scooter and in almost every answer was H.P. in it. Is it a problem for you that many peoples think about H.P. when hearing Scooter whilst you are kind of in the background?
 Michael: Now it is no problem becuase a band need someone who is polarising, who is the frontman and H.P. fits perfect into this. You need peoples who look crazy instead of boring and H.P. is very good in this. For example his hair. Due to his hair is very good recognizebale on the street. I think H.P. is one of our success secrets and you have to accept it or not and I for myself accept this, I got no problems with this. You NEED such peoples otherwise you got not a successfull band.

 Mod.: What is your motivation to go on with Scooter?
 Michael: Leave this room and have look to the crowed and our fans and you will see our motivation!

 Mod.: It is very surprising, your got fans in every age. Their are fans who are 15 years old and fans who are 50 years old. Are you proud about having such a strong and mixed fan base after 15 years?
 Rick: Absolutly!!! It is great, when beeing on tour you get a lot of feedback from the fans. The first row is everytime occupied by peoples we already know by name. The first row consists of peoples we know well. It is kinf of a huge family and this is great!

 Mod.: Scooter on Stage, it this kind of a rave?
 Rick: Yes kind of. It is more a mix of a rave, punk and rock. Peoples going crazy!

Пару раз нас принимали на ура зарубежом, но в Германии нас практически не знали. Это время научило нас многому. Как-то у нас появилась собственная студия и мы написали композицию, которая использовалась в качестве заглавной мелодии в одной аргентинской мыльной опере. После этого на нас посыпались многочисленные предложения. Полученные деньги мы тратили на совершенствование студии.

 Ведущий: В 1993 году пришёл большой успех после выхода в свет сингла «Hyper Hyper». Им вы, как бы, задали тон будущим работам. А текст был позаимствован из трека «Annihilating Rhythm» проекта «Ultra-Sonic».
 Рик: Насчёт слов, это да. Мы не хотели выпускать что-то коммерческое. Если бы хотели, то взяли бы блондинку и негра в группу, так как для европейской музыки того времени для успеха этого было достаточно. «Hyper Hyper» в итоге не вписался в ряды коммерческих треков, ведь он дважды прерывается в середине и в это время выкрикиваются слова «хайпа-хайпа». Акулы музыкального бизнеса после прослушивания могли сказать: «Что за чушь?» Но мы хотели сделать его таким. Можно даже сказать, что это было сильным желанием.

 Ведущий:: Получается, сингл изначально выходил за рамки евроданса.
 Рик: Да, его можно назвать чем угодно, но только не евродансом. Утверждая обратное, это всё равно что говорить, что блюз-рок тоже самое, что хэви-метал. Рецепт евроданса — строфа, исполняемая рэпом, и поющийся рефрен. Яркий пример — «Mr. President», «E-rotic». Нашим вдохновителем была ганноверская рэйв-сцена. В Ганновер приезжало много английских диджеев, привозивших с собой эмси. И сегодня эмси в Англии обычное дело, особенно в стилях с ломаным ритмом. Вот так, выступления эмси в Ганновере определили создание «Hyper Hyper».

 Ведущий: В нём вы передаёте привет большому количеству известных диджеев. Кто-нибудь из них отреагировал на это?
 Рик: Реакции были двух типов. Один человек, например, с энтузиазмом воспринял эту идею, сказав, что так можно приобрести известность. Но были и такие, кто не обрадовался ей. Яркий пример — Марк Спун (Marc Spoon). Следует знать, что в то время я и Эйч-Пи не сильно были связаны с рэйв-сценой. Мы не планировали стать популярными и просто хотели писать музыку для других. «Hyper Hyper» не должен был стать чем-то серьёзным. Помню, это было в одно из воскресений 1993 года, когда мы устроили мозговой штурм в студии на предмет доработки уже готового трека. В те времена крутили музыкальную программу под названием «Шоу Стивена Мэйсона» и кто-то приветствовал европейских рэйверов так: «Big shouts to the Berlin posse...», «Big shouts to the Hannover posse...» и в таком духе. Мы подумали, что было было бы классно сделать наоборот, пусть рэйверы приветствуют диджеев, а не они их. Когда бытуют разные мнения о нашей музыке, это здорово, но после этого сингла мы не ожидали получить столько отрицательной критики. Тогда мы думали: «Ну, кто мы такие? Просто написали большой хит. Ничего плохого до этого тоже не делали. А что сейчас? Теперь мы те, кто работает ради денег?» Спустя много лет у нас много фанатов и мы этим гордимся.

 Ведущий: Расскажите, как вы пишите типичную скутер-песню. Сначала музыка, потом текст? Или как?
Рик: Обычно сначала выходит музыка, а потом встраиваем текст и примочки. Часто бывает, что у Эйч-Пи готова вся схема от и до. Так было с «Move your Ass!». Он подошёл ко мне и сказал: «Рик, я придумал здоровский текст. Я кричу "мув-ё-эс", затем идёт крик толпы, а потом ударные». Эйч-Пи у нас главный генератор идей, из него так и прёт... Поэтому он ответственный за концепцию.

 Ведущий: Ваша работоспособность потрясающа. Выпустили два альбома за год. Как так получается? Имеются сырые заготовки на чёрный день? Или вы создаёте трек очень быстро? Иначе это просто невозможно!
 Рик: На самом деле «на чёрный день» у нас практически ничего нет. Например, рефрен к «Neverending Story» был записан нами несколько лет назад, но придумать, как его использовать, так и не смогли. И это всё, что оказалось «на чёрный день». Таким образом, почти все композиции получаются с иголочки, и это правильно. Мы пишем музыку быстро, потому что в танцевальной музыке невозможно писать медленно, всё быстро меняется. Писать один альбом в течение трёх лет могут позволить себе, к примеру, рок-группы. Мы хотим отобразить в своём альбоме современные тенденции, и если будем тратить на это три года, то эти тенденции уйдут, а наш материал окажется не у дел. Вот поэтому у нас такая отдача. Просто стараемся идти в ногу с модой.

 Ведущий: До нашего с вами интервью мы говорили с персоналом, стали расспрашивать о группе, и практически в каждом ответе от человека фигурировал Эйч-Пи. Доставляет ли вам неудобство, что большинство ассоциируют «Скутер» с ним, в то время как вы остаётесь в тени?
 Михаэль: Сейчас никаких неудобств, так как группе необходим кто-нибудь, кто бы выделялся, кто бы был фронтменом, а Эйч-Пи как никто другой подходит на эту роль. Зрителям нужен яркий и запоминающийся человек. Взять, к примеру, его причёску. На улице его узнают как раз по ней. В общем, Эйч-Пи один из секретов нашего успеха, нравится это кому-то или нет, и пока я тоже так считаю, неудобств с этим совсем никаких. Такие люди НЕОБХОДИМЫ. В противном случае успеха не видать.

 Ведущий: Что вами движет при работе в группе?
 Михаэль: Чтобы это узнать, надо выйти отсюда на сцену перед толпой фанатов. Тогда всё станет понятно!

 Ведущий: Удивительно, что среди фанатов такой возрастной разброс. Есть 15-летние, а есть и 50-летние. Как вам это, после пятнадцати лет на сцене, иметь такую мощную и пёструю поддержку?
 Рик: ОЧЕНЬ рады этому. Радует, что во время турне общащешься с фанатами. В перовм ряду на нашем выступлении всегда присутствут те, кого мы знаем поимённо. Мы хорошо знакомы друг с другом. Что-то типа большой семьи.

 Ведущий: Выступление «Скутера» — это рэйв?
 Рик: Типа того. Это и рейв, и панк, и рок. Всем безумно нравится.

 "Jumping All Over The World" is the title track and next single from the album and will be released in the UK on the 2nd of June digitally and on CD single on the 9th of June. As with most dance tracks which dare to be anything other than funky house radio has sadly largely ignored the record but the video has been irrepressible since its debut on Clubland TV and now features on the play lists of every music TV channel worth mentioning.
 "Jumping All Over The World" will be followed by a third single in the summer and then Scooter will return to the UK in the Autumn to headline the Clubland Live 2 tour!		 Новости от AATW:

 The interview was recorded in the Hotel "The Ring" in Vinna in march, the same day Scooter performed in Vinna as part of the JAOTW Tour

Mod.: Jumping all around the world, the most famous trio of germany is on tour with this name. A warm welcome Scooter! Is it allowed to name you a trio because the name trio is mostly used in the "Volksmusik" business?
H.P.: Actually I do not hear it often someone is calling us a trio but as you see the name trio fits well to us.

Mod.: Are you listening to "Volksmusik"?
H.P.: Very very seldom. When I drink a lot of alcoholic drinks it can happen that I am listing to "Volksmusik". I have fun to listen to "Volksmusik" at the "Oktoberfest" in Munich. As it is usal with music it often depends on the situation what music you like to listen to.

Mod.: We created a Video for you, let us watch it.

Video is playing: They are loud, they are successfull and they are creative. Inovative Songnames like Hyper Hyper, How Much Is The Fish and The Question Is What Is The Question made music history. Now Scooter are on Tour in europe and of course in austria too. The beginning of Scooter goes back to the 80's, The new Wave style. At this time 4 young germans founded the band Celebrete The Nun. Finnaly it ended in the creation of Scooter back in 1994. Since 1994 they are screaming their lyrics accompanied by hard beats to all over the world. No other band was able to produce over 20 TopTen hits in the german single charts.

Mod.: As we could see in the video you had kind of a mullet hairstyle in the very beginning.
Rick: I would not call it a mullet, it rather looked like I had a bird's nest on my head.
H.P.: We styled our hair very high. It was hard because for one hairstyle I needed 1 bottle of Hairspray.
H.P.: At the very beginning when we got our first music contract we felt like we are world wide known celebretis. After a short time we realized how to not make music. It is not enough to release only the Album, It has to be successfull too. When we started with Hyper hyper we have been very lucky because this was at a time we thought nothing works anymore, this is the end.

Mod.: What can you say about the music businnes? Is it kind of unfair and dirty or is the music businnes a fair business?
Michael: It is very very hard! Their are peoples who got the talent for music but do not have success in their entire life. I know a lot of peoples who never had success although they would deserve it. And on the other hand you have peoples, I do not want to name the person, who got a well known father and get a music contract only because he got a well known father. And this person releases one song after the other even such kind of music should not be in music business. This is sad.
H.P.: I got a different viw as Michael. To have a well known father helps you to place and release 1 or 2 songs in the charts but for the long term it is unimportant whether your father is well known or not because finally the public / music listeners are judging about your music and the public is incalculable and they do not accept dribes. And this is why we never know whether a new song fro Scooter will get into the top10 or not because as I already said, the public is incalculabel. Finally it is the public who judges about your song and it's success.

Mod.: In April your next single "I'm Lonely" is due for release. You guys are so often on tour, everytime surrounded by peoples. Do you ever get the feeling beeing lonely?
H.P.: Sometimes I wish to be lonely! You alway have peoples around you often the same peoples (Rick & Michael). everybody is laughing.
Michael: When beeing every day on tour, england, Ireland, Scottland then back to germany you are glad when having a day off, a day off for yourself.

Mod.: What are you doing finally when having a day off, a day for yourself?
Rick: Relaxing, boating, biking ...

Mod.: ... a motorised boat or a boat with paddles ...
Rick.: Of course a motorised one!
Michael: Doing some simple thing like watching a movie in the cinema, watching TV, going out for dinner or just sleeping.

Mod.: Time for friends?
Rick, Michael, H.P.: Yes!
Michael: It is important to not be careless with your friends because you are famous.

Mod.: Are you friends?
H.P.: It is kind of a relationship or better said a love-hate relationship. You have agreements and disagreements but finally you like each other. After such a long time this is quit normal.

Mod.: We are sitting here in the Hotel "The Ring" in Vienna, Austria a beautiful Hotel that belongs to a sheikh ...
H.P.: ...a Shaik? Ah now I know it because I was already wondering about when entering my suit in this hotel the first you will see is kind of a ballroom with a huge conference table and as I saw this I was asking myself "What the heck is this?". After this you go to rthe living room and far away after a long time of searching I was able to find the bedroom...

Mod.: ... but this must be like your own home because I readed somewhere you are the owner of a Villa including emploeeys.
H.P.: A villa, this is right but I do not have emploeeys in my villa, thats wrong. I got peoples likle a gardener but he is not my own and he is not living in my villa as it was written in a newspaper long time ago. Their was written I got a butler at home but this is not true. But when beeing on Tour I got my own butler (everybody is laughing)

Mod.: Is it Rick or Michael ? (Everybody is laughing out loud)

Mod.: Do you have strange hobbies, f.e. cars, planes or kind of this?
H.P.: I love old english cars, oldtimers like an old Jaguar or a Mini Cooper. I alerady spent a huge amount of money for my cars because I am not able to repair big thinks like the car engine. But my auto shop is quit happy about this because they earn a lot of money with repairing my cars. I am a passionated car fan, I love it.
Rick: In my freetime Iam driving my Racing Boat in the Ostsee / Baltic Ocean and I also got a small house on the island of Mallorca, Spain in which I am from time to time.
Michael: As a DJ I am busy with music and collecting Long Plays but they are getting more less in the shops nowadays. But I do not have hobbies like cars and stuff.

Mod.: Let us talk about the age, H.P. congratulation you are 42 years old since march. How are you feeling?
H.P.: You kind of ignore the age. When I was a young boy, about 20, I thought when getting 30 years old it is over and you could die as nothing will happen anymore but this do not went into truth. Nowadays I am not intersted anymore in my age. As a musican you feel the age in a different way. I speak for myself when saying as musican you feel like beeing 28 years old although you are 42 in reality.
Michael: It sounds kind of arrogant but when seeing young peoples of an age of 20 years partying they are already tired after 3 hrs whilst we are still high.

Mod.: Is their a date of expiration in your style of music?
H.P.: I hope we will recognize it by ourself but when beeing on tour almost all gig are soled out, peoples are going crazy and this means the end of our music is far away. But when beeing on stage only in retirements home and places like that where peoples clapping energyless into their hands I would say "It's over, let us go".

Mod.. How is the typical Scooter fan looking like?
H.P.: Their is not typical Scooter fan. There are young fans and old fans, it is mixed up ...
Rick: But what they all have in common is that they are able to went crazy like hell, they are able to push the atmosphare very very high and they are not getting tired
H.P.: After the encore you are done, you are completly exhausted but the fans are not. You are asking the fans "Do You want more" whilst you are totally exhausted and they scream "YEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!"

Mod.: So partying is important?
Rick: Yes it is important at least because our music is based on partying

Mod.: How long do you party? What was the longest time you where partying?
H.P.: Back in the 90's when rave was up to date I was awake 2 days. Going to party in the evening till the next afternoon, after this we went to the aftershow parties and so on. So 2 days was in common but thinks like 3 days as other peoples do is not possible for me. I would not do it. Beeing awake for 3 days needs drugs and stuff and this is not my cup of tea.

H.P.: Вообще-то, не так часто слышу, как кто-то называет нас трио, но, как вы видите, трио для нас вполне подходит.

Вед.: Вы слушаете музыку в стиле "фольк"?
H.P.: Очень и очень редко. Когда я пью много алкоголя, случается так, что слушаю. Обычно это происходит на Октоберфесте в Мюнхене, где бывает очень весело. Но в части с музыкой многое зависит от конкретных ситуаций, когда ты хочешь слушать ту или иную музыку.

Вед.: Мы сделали для вас видео, давайте посмотрим!

Они громче всех, они успешны, они творят и созидают... Названия их песен, такие как Hyper Hyper, How Much Is The Fish и The Question Is What Is The Question стали частью музыкальной истории. Сейчас у Scooter проходит тур по городам Европы, среди них и Австрия. Начало этого музыкального коллектива уходит корнями в 80-е и стилю 'new Wave'. В это время четверо молодых немецев основали группу Celebrete The Nun. Позже это привело к возникновению Scooter в 1994 году. И начиная с этого момента они "кричат" свои тексты в сочетании с тяжелыми битами всему свету! Rick: Я бы сказал по-другому, это похоже на.. если как птичье гнездо, которое ты носишь на голове.
H.P.: Мы ставили наши волосы очень высоко. Это было не просто, и у меня на одну такую прическу требовался целый флакон лака... [от пер.: Ох, как я его понимаю! :)))]
H.P.: В самом начале, когда мы получили наш первый музыкальный контракт мы себя ощущали так, как будто мы стали мировыми знаменитостями. Прошло время и мы осознали как не надо делать музыку. Было недостаточно выпускать лишь альбомы, необходимо ещё преуспевать. Потом мы начали с Hyper Hyper и были довольны результатами, потому что это было в то время, когда казалось, что уже ничего не будет работать, вот он конец...

Вед.: Что вы можете сказать о музыкальном бизнесе? Он грязный и нечестный бизнес или дела в нем обстоят иначе?
Michael: Это очень сложно! Есть люди, которые обладают определенным талантом, но за всю свою жизнь они не имели ни одного успеха. Я знаю множество людей, которые не имели успеха никогда, хотя его и заслуживали. И с другой стороны люди, я просто не хочу их называть, у кого есть знаменитый родитель и именно по этой причине они и получали свои контракты. И этот человек выпускает песню за песней, но не должно быть такой музыки... Это печально.
H.P.: Мой взгляд на это отличается от того, что говорит Майкл. Присутствие "богатого папочки" существенно облегчает тебе выпустить одну или две песни и потом попасть с ней в чарт, но в перспективе это не будет иметь особого значения, как твой папа знаменит или нет, потому что потом уже слушатели судят о твоей музыке, а это то, что сложно выражается в цифрах. И именно поэтому мы никогда не знаем наперед, попадет ли новый сингл Scooter в десятку лучших или нет, потому что, как я сказал, публика не поддается подсчету и в конечном итоге уже они дают этому свою оценку!

Вед.: В апреле готовится к выходу ваш следующий сингл "I'm Lonely". Вы, ребята, так часто даете концерты, постоянно окружены людьми. Вас когда-нибудь посещает чувство одиночества?
H.P.: Иногда я желаю побыть один! Вас всегда окружают люди, иногда это одни и те же люди - Рик и Майкл... (все смеются)
Michael: Когда ты каждый день выступаешь, даешь концерты: Англия, Ирландия, Шотландия, потом назад в Германию - и ты уже рад, когда появляется выходной, день, который ты можешь посвятить себе одному.

Вед.: А что вы делаете, когда, наконец, удается передохнуть?
Rick: Расслабляемся, катаемся на велосипедах, на лодках...

Вед.: ...моторные или лодки с ручной греблей?
Rick.: Моторные, конечно.
Michael: Иногда делаем какие-то совсем обычные вещи - ходим в кино, смотрим телевизор, порой куда-то выбираемся или просто спим.

Вед.: Время для друзей находите?
Rick, Michael, H.P.: Да!
Michael: Важно не быть равнодушным и проявлять внимание и к своим друзьям, даже будучи известным и популярным.

Вед.: А вы друзья?
H.P.: Это непростой вид взаимоотношений, будет лучше сказать, что на стыке любви и ненависти. Вы соглашаетесь, но бывает, что и спорите, но несмотря ни на что вы по-прежнему нравитесь друг-другу. После долгого времени, проведенного вместе, это становится нормальным.

Вед.: Мы сидим с вами здесь в здании отеля "The Ring" в Вене, Австрия, очень красивом месте, оно принадлежит одному шейху...
H.P.: ...Кому?! А, теперь мне понятно, потому что я уже задавался подобным вопросом, потому что первым делом что вы видите, как оказываетесь здесь, это что-то наподобие бальной комнаты с огромным столом для переговоров, и когда я увидел это, я спросил себя "Что это, вообще, такое?". Потом вы попадаете в гостинную, и где-то там далеко, после того, как все осмотреть, я заметил спальню...

Вед.: ...но это, наверное, ничем не отличается от вашего собственного дома, потому что я где-то читал, что вы обладатель своего особняка, который включает в себя и многочисленную прислугу.
H.P.: Да, это все так, но только я не держу там у себя рабочий персонал. У меня есть садовник, но он не мой собственный и он у меня не живет, как это было написано в газетах много лет назад. Они писали, что у меня работает дворецкий, но это было неправдой. Но когда я нахожусь в разъездах, то нанимаю его обязательно! (все смеются)

Вед.: Это Рик или Майкл? (раздается смех!)

Вед.: У вас есть какие-нибудь необычные хобби - скажем, машины, самолеты... что-нибудь такое?
H.P.: Мне очень нравятся старые английские машины, такие марки как Jaguar или Mini Cooper. Я уже потратил немало денег на мою коллекцию, т.к. я сам не в состоянии заниматься их ремонтом, чинить большие части как двигатель у машины. Но мой автосервис, тот, куда я постоянно обращаюсь, несказанно этому рад, поскольку они уже заработали на этом кучу денег. Очень люблю красивые автомобили, я их большой фанат!
Rick: В свое свободное время я вожу мою скоростную лодку в Ostsee - это на берегу Балтийского моря, и ещё у меня есть маленький домик на одном из островов Мальорки, в Испании. Бываю там время от времени...
Michael: Как ди-джей я занят музыкой и собиранием LP, но сейчас в магазинах их становится все меньше. Но у меня нет таких хобби, как машины и прочее.

Вед.: Поговорим немного о возрасте. ЭйчПи, мои поздравления, в марте тебе исполнилось 42 года. Какие твои ощущения?
H.P.: Ты как будто игнорируешь возраст. Когда я был маленьким, и мне было что-то вроде 20-ти, я думал, когда тебе станет 30 лет для тебя все уже закончится, это будет тот предел, после которого ты можешь спокойно умереть, а с тобой все равно больше ничего не случится, но это оказалось совсем не так. Теперь мой возраст меня больше не интересует. Как музыкант ты чувствуешь его, но по-другому. Когда я говорю "как музыкант", я говорю только за себя - ты ощущаешь себя 28-ми летним, хотя на самом деле тебе уже 42(!).
Michael: Ты не обращаешь внимания, но когда ты наблюдаешь, как отрывается молодежь в возрасте 20-ти лет и они уже устают после 3-х часов, а мы ещё по-прежнему даем прикурить...

Вед.: Наступит ли такой день, когда можно будет сказать, что ваша музыка и стиль иссякли?
H.P.: Я надеюсь, что мы поймем это сами, но когда мы в туре, у нас практически все концерты проходят с аншлагами, люди сходят с ума и это означает, что конец нашей музыки придет ещё не скоро. Но если выступать только исключительно в домах престарелых и ещё в подобных тому местах, где публику невозможно заставить хлопать в ладоши, тогда я скажу "Отпустите нас, мы вам больше не нужны".

Вед.. На кого похож ваш типичный фанат?
H.P.: Таких не существует. Есть молодые, а есть и постарше, все перемешивается...
Rick: Но что есть у них общее и всех их объединяет это то, что на наших концертах у них у всех срывает крышу, они накаляют атмосферу в зале до предела и ни чуть не жалуются потом, что устали!
H.P.: После выхода на бис ты выжат до нельзя, чувствуешь себя окончательно измотанным, но только не фанаты. Ты задаешь им один и тот же вопрос "Хотите ещё?!" и они всегда отвечают тебе криком: "YEEEEEESSSSSSS"!!! Да, хотим!!!!!!

Вед.: Ощущать это для вас важно?
Rick: Да, практически всегда, по крайней мере на этом и основана вся наша музыка.

Вед.: Как долго вы можете делать это без передышки? ("party", т.е. зажигать, колбаситься и т.п.) И каким был этот случай, расскажите о нем поподробнее.
H.P.: Вспоминая 90-е, когда рейвы были обычным явлением, я не спал около 2-х суток подряд! Мы клубились с вечера и вплоть до обеда уже следующего дня, после этого сразу начиналась after-party, ну и все продолжалось по новой... В общей сложности получалось целых два дня, но 3(!) дня, как это случалось с другими, для меня не представлялось невозможным! Я бы не стал этого делать. Чтобы не спать три дня это требует наркотиков или других средств, а это никак не мое... (прим: если приводить дословно, тут ЭйчПи говорит: "это не моя чашка чая!")

 Singles weren’t immune from the slump in sales. Week-on-week, they ebbed 6.3% to 1,716,745 – their lowest level for 22 weeks, but were still 16.3% up on the same week in 2007.
 "Basically, there's a lot of people like them," according to All Around the World director Matt Cadman. "Scooter have been a massive band in Europe for a long time."
 Many fans will have been attracted by a bonus disc featuring the band's greatest hits, such as the 2002 number two single The Logical Song - a cover of the Supertramp track - and six further top 20 tracks.
 Cascada's album "Everytime We Touch" reached number two in the UK in 2007, while the label has also enjoyed hit singles with Ultrabeat, T2, N-Trance, Flip & Fill and DJ Casper.
 "And 95% of the national media is controlled from within the M25 so I think that's why they don't see it. They just literally don't get it.
 "When they hear something like a Scooter or Cascada, they'll think it's rubbish. We've heard it called chav music, council house music, kiddie music - every disparaging term.
 "And that's just not how we see it. We love it, we think it's fantastic. And so it's proved - it's not like we're listening on our own. Somebody's wrong somewhere down the line."
 Yet it has sold 33,500 copies in its first week - 4,000 more than Madonna's "Hard Candy".

 Scooter are the first German act to top the album chart since 1994 when Enigma – actually made up of Romanian Michael Cretu, Austrian Peter Cornelius and Germans Sandra, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson – led the way with "The Cross Of Changes".

How techno band toppled Madonna

 German techno pop group Scooter have caused a shock by knocking Madonna off the top of the UK album chart after just one week, despite little mainstream exposure.
 It is the biggest coup yet for Blackburn-based independent record label All Around the World, who say they are catering for a thriving suburban club scene.
 Peering down from the summit of the album chart last week, Madonna probably did not think she had any reason to fear a trio peddling steroid-enhanced dance beats, pumped-up cover versions and high-octane trance melodies.
 Scooter, led by 42-year-old blond frontman HP Baxxter, may claim to be the most successful singles act in German chart history, and may have had a number of UK hits.
 But the last of those was five years ago, and their latest single The Question Is What Is The Question only reached number 49 last month.
 Their new material has had next to no radio airplay, and the album was not reviewed in the national press.
 Yet it has sold 33,500 copies in its first week - 4,000 more than Madonna's "Hard Candy".
 "Basically, there's a lot of people like them," according to All Around the World director Matt Cadman. "Scooter have been a massive band in Europe for a long time."
 The unashamedly upbeat album Jumping All Over the World includes rave reworkings of several familiar tunes, including OMD's Enola Gay and Limahl's Never Ending Story.
 Many fans will have been attracted by a bonus disc featuring the band's greatest hits, such as the 2002 number two single "The Logical Song" - a cover of the Supertramp track - and six further top 20 tracks.
 Scooter have also just come off a UK arena tour, co-headlining with labelmates Cascada.
 "They went down absolutely fantastically and 50,000 people saw them on tour," Mr Cadman says.
 Their music has found airplay on TV stations like The Box and Flaunt - as well as All Around the World's own Clubland TV channel.
 "That's more of our medium than radio or press," Mr Cadman says. "There's no magazine that caters to the audience that we play to."
 A TV advertising offensive, with spots during breaks in "teen based" shows like Hollyoaks and The Simpsons, pushed them ahead of the queen of pop, Mr Cadman believes.
 Industry bible Music Week put Scooter's chart coup down to the TV ads, the greatest hits disc and a quiet week for other releases. It was the second lowest weekly sales so far this decade, the magazine reported.
 But that will not dampen the celebrations for All Around the World, who are also responsible for the hugely successful Clubland, Dancemania and Floorfillers compilation series.
 Cascada's album "Everytime We Touch" reached number two in the UK in 2007, while the label has also enjoyed hit singles with Ultrabeat, T2, N-Trance, Flip & Fill and DJ Casper.
 "Commercial dance is a very overlooked genre," Mr Cadman says. "It's quite sad really. The Clubland TV channel is doing fantastically well, it's one of the biggest music channels on Sky.
 "It's all upbeat commercial dance, and I think a lot of people want that, and not necessarily when they're in a club."
 Their customers are the tens of thousands of people who can be found at nightclubs in towns and suburbs every weekend, he says.
 "The clubs that hit the headlines tend to be the named clubs - everyone knows of Cream and Gatecrasher, but what people don't tend to talk about is the club on every street corner.
 "It might be a Ritzy or Ikon or Oceana. There are so many of these clubs and they're in every suburban centre. If you take Manchester, it might be the outlying areas - Oldham, Bolton, Stockport.
 "All the town centres tend to be quite cool and built for young executives, who are probably a little bit older, and then in the outside areas you get more kids from 17 to 24 going to clubs, and they tend to be the ones where we do particularly well.
 "Where we tend not to do particularly well is within the M25. As soon as you get inside the M25, it's like commercial dance music doesn't exist.

 We are in London in the moment. Today we had a recording for Clubland TV. On Sunday you can watch us on Channel 4-the green room tv show (where hp, rick and me show you our favorite scooter videos). It was a very great week. Our Album reached rank 1 in the Uk abum charts.In germany we reached gold status for the album.And this year you can expect more great things. Live gigs, releases, remixes, dj sets....but its too much to tell you detailed right now. I will inform you as qick as i can. The next live show is in Praque.Im looking forward to see you there.  The Interview was recorded on the same day when the german tour in Karlsruhe started.

Moderator: It is fact you are making no live performances. Putting the CD into the CD Player, dancing on the stage and everything is done for a concert.
HP: Well, you can't say this. Normally we got a few things on stage, lot's of techics, the lyrics are live and parts of the music are played live by the guys (Michael & Rick) but of course their is comming some music from Harddisks. But please do not understant this wrong, our concerts are not planned from A to Z, we are flexible and sometimes we are changing the song in the very last minute.
Rick: If we would performe everything live we would need about 10 keybords you have to pay attention to, nobody is doing this.
Michael: It is also not possible to put a bassline into a song live because it is almost impossible to make this bassline synchrone to the song when playing it live.
H.P. In the electronical music businnes this is normal

Moderator: With more than 20 Top Ten Hits you are the most successful music band in germany ever. What is the secret, the recipe behind this?
Michael: Scooter is unique. There are countless rock bands and Hip Hop Bands as well but their is no band you can compare with Scooter. Scooter exists only one time, their is almost nothing compareable.
Rick: Our sound is unique, our sound developed the way it is today. And luckily their are still lots peoples who like our music.
HP: Also our fanbase is awesome and this makes us proud a bit. It took a lot of time to create such a fan base and not everyboday got a fanbase like oures. And to have a good fanbase is very important.

Moderator: You are not only successful in germany but also in other countries like england. What are the opinions about Scooter in england? What do people say about you?
HP: Yes, it was awesome. Recently we have been on tour in england and we were surprised about peoples singing all our songtexts. We also played some newer stuff in england peoples did not know at this moment but they all know our older songs. their is a difference compared to germany. In england almost everybody knows our lyrics, they understand every word and you do not have this in germany as my lyrics are in english and english peoples better understand the lyrics, even the difficult to listen to one.

Moderator: You got a lot of strange lyrics, for example "Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice. Where do you got such lyrics from?
HP: Well, My eyes and ears are wide opened all the time and when seeing and hearing things I put them into my very good memory to use it later on in some songs.
Michael: Most of the lyrics sounds weired, peoples think "what is he talking about" but you have to know that every lyric makes sense, at least for us and sometimes also for the insiders.

Moderator: Now I have to aks you a question that comes from our make-up and beauty peoples of our Channel. What make-up do you use?
HP: I am using in privat make-up from "Estee Lauda" N°3, it is a compact make-up powder. I also use sometimes a bit of mascara. Thats all.
Rick: I use Mac Cosmetics, its very good and I also use day creams for the face from L'Oreal
Michael: I do not need make-up
HP about Michaels answer: Solarium / tanning shop (everybody is laughing)

Moderator: Today your tour is starting in Karlsruhe. Are you still nervous before a concert?
HP: I am still nervous because you never know whether everything will work fine. Will the technic work well, the firworks, the dancers, the lyrics and so on. The tracklist is very long this time. All in all you think about whether everything will work fne / smooth

Moderator: You already released 13 albums, 3 best off albums as well as 4 live albums. How is it possible to release such an amount of albums? This is almost 1 album a year!
Rick: We have been busy ...
HP: Well we are almost everyday in the studio. When we are not performing live we are almost everyday in the studio, even at the weekend. Sometimes you are working on a song and after 3 weeks you recognice how bad it is and than all the work was for nothing.
Michael: Electonical music is developing continuesly. You do not have this in genres like Rock. The electronic is developing all the time and so does the electronical music. Electronical music opens you much new ways everday.

Moderator: Where does the ideas come from for your albums? Some band are releasing only 2 albums in their entire history. How do you manage it?
HP: It is not that easy. Their are times you are out of idea. You are kind of down and you do not know how to go on but suddenly you got a fresh and new idea. Often when listening to music, esspecially when we are backstage, we sometimes listen to a song that gives us a new idea.

Moderator: What are you listening to at the moment when beeing backstage?
HP: Mixed stuff. At the moemnt we are listing a lot to Trance and Jumpstyle backstage. Sometimes our jumpstyle dancers come backstage and dancing. Jumpstyle is a very cool music at the moment.
Michael: But it can also happen that H.P. puts a Depeche Mode LP into the player when beeing backstage.

Moderator: When looking back to your first album what did change compared to you todays albums?
HP: Mhhh, we are older and we are doing more sport. Relating to the music their changed a lot even though many peoples say our music sounds the same like years ago, THIS IS NOT TRUE. At the beginning our music was fater, about 160bpm - 180bpm, nowadys our music is not that fast but this changed already in 1996. Also the sounds and the lyrics changed.

Moderator: And how changed you?
Rick: We are matured

Обычно на сцене мы имеем следующее - много техники, живые тексты песен и часть музыки играется ребятами в живую, но, конечно, многое из этого остается записано на жестком диске. Но только поймите нас правильно, наши концерты не планируются от А до Я, все очень гибко и иногда бывает, что мы меняем песню в самую последнюю минуту.
Рик: Если бы на всех наших выступлениях у нас все было бы только в живую, то нам бы потребовалось порядка 10 синтезаторов, но никто так не делает!
Майкл: Также невозможно положить отдельно линию с басами на песню, потому что практически невозможно объединить их во время исполнения так, чтобы звучало синхронно.
ЭйчПи: Для электронной музыки это нормально!

Ведущий: Со своими 20 хитами, попавшими в 10-ку, вы наиболее успешная музыкальная группа в Германии из всех, когда-либо существовавших! Как это у вас получается? Что стоит за этим, какой-то особый секрет?
Майкл: Scooter уникальная в своем роде группа. Существует также огромное множество рок и хип-хоп команд, но их нельзя и близко поставить рядом! Scooter такой один, нет ничего общего с остальными.
Рик: Наш звук уникален, он долгое время развивался, чтобы быть таким сегодня! И к счастью, по-прежнему, много людей, кому нравится наша музыка.
ЭйчПи: У нас ещё потрясающие фанаты, и это то, что делает нас немного гордыми. Это заняло много времени, чтобы появились такие поклонники, как наши. У других групп нет таких фанатов, а это очень важно!

Ведущий: Вы пользуетесь успехом не только в Германии, но также и в ряде других стран, как Англия, например. Что говорят о вашей группе в Англии? Какие бытуют мнения о Scooter?
ЭйчПи: Да, это было великолепно! Недавно мы ездили с туром в Англию, и мы были удивлены, увидев людей, распевающих куплеты наших песен. Мы также сыграли там пару новых, то чего они ещё слышать не могли, но зато все старые наши песни они знали. Есть отличие, если сравнивать с Германией - в Англии почти все знают тексты наших песен, они понимают каждое слово, а в Германии это не происходит так из-за того, что я пою по-английски, а там люди быстрее понимают слова, даже когда бывает непонятно...

Ведущий: У вас много странных текстов, к примеру: "Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice." Откуда вы это берете?
ЭйчПи: Ну, мои глаза видят, а уши слышат, а когда я что-то вижу или слышу, то обращаюсь к своей хорошей памяти, чтобы можно было это потом использовать в песнях.
Майкл: Большинство из этого звучит странно, люди думают, о чем это он??? - но помните, что смысл есть в каждом куплете, по крайней мере для нас и тех, кто понимает!

Ведущий: А теперь я не могу ни задать вам вопрос, который поступил от нашей команды гримеров! Какие средства красоты вы используете?
ЭйчПи: Я использую "Estee Lauda" N°3, это специальная пудра для макияжа. И ещё иногда немного туши mascara. И это все!
Рик: Я пользуюсь косметикой Mac, она очень хорошая, и ещё использую дневные крема для лица L'Oreal.
Майкл: А мне макияж не нужен!
ЭйчПи сказал насчет ответа Майкла, что он посещает солярий/использует средство для получения загара. (все засмеялись)

Ведущий: Сегодня (27.03.2008) в Карлсруэ начинается ваш тур... Нервничаете перед началом концерта?
ЭйчПи: Я все ещё волнуюсь, потому что ты никогда не можешь быть уверенным в том, что все будет работать как надо! Работа техников, фейерверки, танцоры, голос и т.д. На этот раз список песен, которые мы будем исполнять, у нас очень длинный. Снова и снова ты думаешь о том, все ли пройдет гладко.

Ведущий: На вашем счету уже 13 альбомов, 3 сборника лучших хитов и также 4 концертных альбома. Как это возможно выпустить такое количество альбомов? Практически по 1 в год!
Рик: Мы много работали...
ЭйчПи: Мы почти каждый день сидим в студии. Когда мы не выступаем, то практически всегда там, даже в выходные! Иногда вы работаете над песней и после 3-х недель вдруг понимаете, насколько он плохая, и тогда вся работа идет насмарку.
Майкл: Электронная музыка находится в развитии постоянно. Вы не найдете этого в других жанрах, таких как рок! Технология все время развивается, также поступает и электронная музыка. Каждый день она открывает новые возможности.

Ведущий: Откуда приходят к вам идеи для ваших альбомов? Некоторые группы могут выпустить всего два альбома за всю историю! Как вы с таким справляетесь?
ЭйчПи: Это не легко. Бывают времена, когда нет абсолютно никаких идей! Силы идут на спад, и нет ни малейшего представления, что делать дальше. Но откуда ни возьмись появляется новая, свежая идея. Часто, когда слушаешь музыку, особенно находясь за сценой, мы иногда слушаем песни и они дают нам новые идеи...

Ведущий: А что вы слушаете в этот момент?
ЭйчПи: В основном, миксы. Мы слушаем много всего - от транса до джапстайла! Иногда танцевальный коллектив наших джамперов приходят за сцену и там танцуют. Сейчас джампстайл довольно популярный стиль.
Майкл: Но иногда случается и такое, что ЭйчПи может поставить какой-нибудь альбом Depeche Mode в проигрыватель.

Ведущий: Когда вы смотрите на свой первый альбом, что изменилось, если сравнивать с альбомами нынешними?
ЭйчПи: Мм-м... мы стали старше и мы больше занимаемся спортом. В отношении музыки произошли большие изменения, даже если многие скажут, что наша музыка с тех пор не изменилась - это НЕ ТАК! В самом начале она была быстрее, что-то около 160bpm - 180bpm, теперь она не такая быстрая, но определенные изменения произошли ещё в 1996 году. Также и звучание стало иным, изменились и тексты...

Ведущий: А как изменились вы?
Рик: Мы возмужали.

 In one of the biggest weeks in the history of AATW it is our great pleasure to announce that the new Scooter album, Jumping All Over The World has gone into the artist album chart at #1, knocking one of the most successful female artists of all time, Madonna, off the top spot in the process. An unbelievable achievement for HP, Rick, Michael and Jens but one that is richly deserved, a view that I'm sure will be shared by anyone who saw the guys performance on the Clubland Live tour. Scooter goes way beyond the average definition of a dance act and testament to this is their lasting appeal which has seen them release records to 3 generations of dance fans across the world and become the most successful act of all time in their native Germany.
 As if that wasn't a big enough result for us Clubland Classix is also still sat at the top of the compilation chart meaning AATW have the #1 Artist & Compilation albums this week, a first for any UK Dance label and one which should hopefully firmly send home the message to the media and beyond that commercial dance music is still well and truly alive and kicking all across the UK.
 There will be those that will no doubt move to scoff at Scooters success. There are many in the world of dance music and in the wider music industry who have an unhealthy obsession with worrying about being seen to be cool and trendy. All I would say to those people is that dance music exists on many levels, each quite seperate but ultimately interdependent on the others. Whilst people from either side of the fence may choose to cast scorn on the others tastes, both sides should be grateful for any success as it is a boost for dance music as a whole. Remember that the media in recent years has sought to marginalise all forms of dance music saying that people don't want to buy it, listeners aren't interested in it and its not relevant to todays youth.
 If this was so true why do tens of thousands of us flock to Ibiza year on year? Why did the Clubland Live tour manage to sell out venues on a scale that holds equal comparison to Take That, The Killers and the Spice Girls? Why are dance compilation albums of all genres consistently at the top of the compilation chart? How did Cascada manage to sell one million albums in under a year and how has Scooter managed to knock the worlds biggest female artist off the top of the album chart? The sales figures are now there for all to see, if the media still wants to pretend that the UK population has no interest in dance music then I hope their listeners, viewers and advertisers will vote with their feet.  Monday saw the release of "Jumping All Over The World" - the first Scooter album in the UK since 2002. After such a long break and especially after the great Clubland tour with gigs in the biggest cities of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the demand for Scooter seems to be really strong. Early indications in the midweeks show that Scooter are very close to the new Madonna album, ranked at #2: a terrific success!
 My comments: I think that this success is also provided by new TV channel "Clubland TV", which aired at least all Scooter videos. And price for an album is very cheap! CD2 (which one of the most wanted for UK purchasers in this release) is really "for free". Let's wait to see which place next UK single "Jumping All Over The World" will get. It will be released at May, 26.
 According to german daily trends "I'm Lonely" can return to top 10 at 3rd week of sells		  Согласно дневным продажам британского альбома Scooter в день выхода он занимает 2 место, уступая лишь новому альбому Мадонны. Будем следить за местом, которое он займёт в итоге, но и попадание в десятку уже можно назвать прорывом. Выпустив не сосем успешный сингл "The Question Is What Is The Question", который даже не попал в 40 лучших синглов, альбом неожиданно хорошо продаётся. Говорят, что это благодаря Clubland-туру, долгому ожиданию, но, скажу я вам, виной тому ещё и неплохая раскрутка абсолютно всех клипов группы на недавно открывшемся канале Clubland TV и дешёвая цена на альбом - второй диск с лучшими песнями, ради которого многие и берут этот альбом, получается вообще бесплатно. Посмотрим как на волне продаж альбома будет раскупаться сингл "Jumping All Over The World", выход которого намечен в Великобритании на 26 мая.
 Согласно чартам продаж за день по Германии, сингл "I'm Lonely" может вернуться в топ 10 на третьей неделе пребывания в чарте.

from geman chart review by Jochen Tierbach: Hot Shot Debut honours this week go to Scooter. Their cover of a rather unknown dance track called "I'm Lonely" comes in at #9. Further it puts them out of a tie for having the most top new entries (22).
